WoW Forever launch time

When WoW: Forever opens where you live.

Our one recommendation

It opens Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST, everywhere at once.

On the US East Coast that's 6:00 p.m. ET. Blizzard calls it a global launch, so there's no separate regional start. [source]

Launch time by time zone

We converted Blizzard's 3:00 p.m. PST to each zone, using the clocks in effect on November 4 (US daylight saving ends November 1; UK and EU clocks change October 25).

Unverified Our conversion, not Blizzard's table. Blizzard only gave the PST time. One Blizzard article (Carve a New Path) says "3:00 p.m. PDT" for the same launch. US daylight saving ends before November 4, so PST is the one that matches the date, and the table uses PST. If Blizzard posts a regional table, we'll switch to theirs.

Dates before launch

  • Stress Test: Wednesday, October 21, 5:00–9:00 p.m. EDT (2:00–6:00 p.m. PDT). Anyone with a WoW account can join; no subscription needed. Test characters and names are deleted afterward. [source]
  • Beta closes for good: Friday, October 23, 10:00 a.m. PDT (1:00 p.m. EDT). [source]
  • Early name reservation: October 27 to November 3. North America opens October 27 at 1:00 p.m. PDT (4:00 p.m. EDT); Europe at 18:00 CET. Upgrade-pack buyers only. See Name reservation. [source]

What to do before launch day

  1. Update your graphics drivers and the Battle.net app.
  2. In Battle.net, pick World of Warcraft, then World of Warcraft: Forever in the Game Version menu, and install.
  3. Choose your ruleset when you press Play. See which ruleset to pick. [source]
