Our one recommendation
Watch RampageWoW first.
His "No-Nonsense Guide" videos are made, in his words, for beginners and returning players, and they stick to what to do first: a launch-day checklist, which addons to try, and what to save your gold for. Start with WoW Forever Day 1 Checklist (Oct 15, 2026), then What Is WoW Forever? Everything You Need to Know Before Playing (Oct 9, 2026).
Sponsor note: some RampageWoW videos have a sponsor segment and discount code for ForeverWisp, a paid leveling addon. You don't need it to enjoy his guides or the game. See Do I need a paid leveling guide?
Picking a class
- hammerdance (YouTube, Twitch): one "Should You Play…?" video per class. Start with Should You Play HUNTER in WoW Forever? (Oct 14), which lines up with our class pick, or Every Class in WoW Forever Ranked From Easiest to Hardest (Oct 12). He was a guest on Blizzard's official WoW: Forever Podcast, episode 3 (his post).
- Xaryu (YouTube): focused takes on class changes, especially Mage. WoW Forever Mage Is WAY Better Than Before (Oct 17).
- Preach Gaming (YouTube): thinking of tanking again? I Was WRONG About Protection Warrior in WoW Forever (Oct 11).
Leveling, once you've picked
- Kargoz (YouTube, Twitch): detailed 1–60 leveling guides for single classes, like 1-60 Demonology Warlock Leveling Guide (Oct 20). Worth watching before launch: 10 Massive Mistakes to Avoid in WoW Forever (Oct 15). Fast-paced and speed-minded.
- Wowhead (written): when you're stuck on a quest or dungeon. Every Dungeon Quest in WoW Forever.
Addons
- RampageWoW: a run of addon videos in mid-October covering maps, bags, quality-of-life and dungeons.
- hammerdance: 10 Addons You NEED For WoW Forever (Oct 4).
- Before installing anything, check which addons have Forever builds this week.
News and the big picture
- Bellular Warcraft (YouTube): So, what is WoW Forever? (Oct 7) is a clear, chaptered explainer if you're deciding whether to come back.
- MadSeasonShow (YouTube): long, calm overviews. WoW Forever Already Has Its First Controversy (Oct 16).
- Esfand (YouTube, Twitch): see the game played live. WoW Forever's New Zone Is an Absolute MASTERPIECE (Oct 20).
- Wowhead on X: quick news posts, like how to reserve your name on October 27 (Oct 20).
Unverified How we chose, and what we didn't check: every creator here posted WoW: Forever content in the last six weeks, checked on their own channel or profile on October 21, 2026. We don't list follower or view counts. Some creators' video descriptions carry affiliate links for RestedXP, a paid leveling guide; we don't use those links, and Blizzard hasn't ruled on paid guide content (see Addons). We screened out anyone promoting gold selling, boosting or account services. None of these creators are connected to this site.
